About Us
Savin' Cats, Findin' Homes
Carin' About The Strays is a non-profit cat rescue organization, saving cats in the Putnam County and surrounding areas of Tennessee. We specialize in saving kittens with an emphasis on caring for queens, bottle-fed kittens, and neo-natal babies.
Our Story
It all started with Laura. The true cat queen herself, whose mission it was to give cats a voice.
Though she created C.A.T.S. back in 2017, Laura had been a staunch advocate for animals for decades. At 13 years old, she began educating her community on the benefits of spaying and neutering and discussing the overpopulation problem cats face. She wanted to show people that cats were pets too and they deserved every bit of love and respect that dogs had.

It had always been Laura's dream to open a cat rescue and with nothing keeping her from it, she thought one day why not? And Carin' About The Strays was born. Laura has helped save countless cats and has always had a tender heart for kittens which is why C.A.T.S. specializes in taking care of babies and neo-natal kittens.

Everything we do at C.A.T.S. is for Laura and her mission of loving, serving, and protecting cats and kittens. We are honored to carry her torch and light the lives of all the cats we are able to save. Because of Laura, we care about the strays.

And because of Laura, cats and kittens get to know love.
